This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, comes in either front or all-wheel drivetrains, and can tow up to 5,000 lbs of cargo along for the ride when properly equipped. 

Toyota Highlander Hybrid Performance 

The performance offered by the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid has evolved since the Highlander joined the ranks of the Toyota hybrid lineup in 2020. When you drive a 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, you’ll command a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. This powertrain is able to produce 243 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

This performance is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission and can be had in either front or all-wheel drivetrains.
